Megan Jitloff
It’s been 24 years now since Megan’s parents closed up shop (literally) of their mountaineering store in Santa Barbara and relocated to the beautiful mountain town of Truckee, CA. With little exposure to the area, Megan’s parents Rich Harter and Dinny Evans were drawn to the energy of the slow paced lifestyle, yet active community and felt there was no better place to plant their roots and call home.
Years later, Megan feels the same way as she starts her own family. Although, the little mountain town she was once introduced to is now much larger, it still maintains a small town feel and proves to be a great place to work, play and raise a family.
After leaving Truckee in 2000 to attend the University of San Diego, Megan quickly realized that her heart was in the mountains and after 2 years, returned home to complete her degree and graduate from the University of Nevada Reno. In 2003 Megan received her real estate license to work with her parents in the family run company, Pacific Crest Properties. In January of 2011 Pacific Crest Properties merged and joined forces with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, maintaining the small “boutique” feel, located in the heart of Tahoe Donner.
Since early childhood years, Megan remembers riding in the car with Dinny, her mom, looking at houses to show or sitting at an open house with dad Rich. Dinny remembers Megan as a teenager questioning the price of a home, the size and price per square foot. She transitioned into having her own clients with ease and has teamed up with mom Dinny to create the Evans-Jitloff Group, using their individual strengths to provide their clients with the “complete package”.
Megan’s husband, Erik Jitloff, was also raised in Truckee. Now he is a firefighter and paramedic with the Truckee Fire Department. They have 2 young boys Colby (4 1/2) and Bennett (2), who keep them active and busy enjoying all of the amenities the area boasts.
